This is one of the most covered and most iconic songs in the rockabilly genre. It embodies everything that IS rockabilly. This is a real quick lesson, more aimed at intermediate to advanced players that already have a basic knowledge of guitar. Definitely one of my personal favorites.

This is a fun way to play an a major scale that gets outside of the usual fingerings. If you execute it right it sounds kind of like a piano with the sustain pedal pressed down. I call these types of scales "floatys" but I'm not sure there really is a word for it.

That song by the Cellmates "Rockabilly Feeling" seems like a very example of this kind of music. I'm a bit surprised nobody has posted a lesson on it. If you would do one, I'd appreciate it. In the meantime I'll be trying out what this lesson covers. Thanks.

What was the Am-G-F song? Pintour?
Yes. The version I'm playing is based off of Hawaii Samurai recording of Pintor. Not sure which album of theirs it is on, but their record called "the shape of surf to come" is killer, and every song on it is a home run. Sounds like they record most of their tunes with the amps absolutely cooking.
